Illustrating started as an outlet that I finally embraced after itching to do so for a while. I wanted to stretch my creative muscles and get the juices flowing from anything that inspired me such as places, food, and people. Being afraid of not getting it right held me back for quite a while which in turn grew my other graphic design strengths but I always felt the need to draw things by hand. Once I started, I discovered that creating something from my mind and translating it on paper felt like a door had been opened that was always there.  The imperfections I create make my work feel even more human and have the ability to connect others to my work. Illustrating has let me love the process instead of fearing failure, not everything will be proportionally right and that is OK! I draw as an opportunity to grow closer to the artist inside me and surprise myself with what I'm capable of.
