One of my summer internships included working for a local arts council, NCLAC, where I branded an event for an annual fundraiser. Artoberfest is a beer-tasting event where home brewers and local beer distributors come together to let a few hundred beer lovers taste what they've got brewing. When brainstorming for this event, I was excited to incorporate a Halloween aspect seeing that it would be held on Friday the 13th but I also knew it was important to NCLAC to keep the traditional German celebration alive. I decided on a character that would be iconic and satisfy both holidays. Creating all the advertisement material and merchandise that would be sold at the event was my challenge to expand this one symbol into all realms of advertisement.
